Beeing an AWB-affiliate representing the Linzer Astronomical Society - LAG / AUSTRIA I am happy to report the following global event:

Total Moon Eclipse 2010
21. DEZ. 2010 LIVE WEBCASTS AROUND THE WORLD

Poster credit: Azhy Hasan -Iraqi National Coordinator of AWB

Worldwide announced live webcasts by AWB and supported by many people and organisations around the globe.

Due to bad weather conditions and some technical limits by Internet technology, many webcasters had problems to do their contribution - NASA too ;-) But many work-around-links helped to join this event. - Some problems I have listed HERE

Here in AUSTRIA we could only catch the beginning of this event early in the morning before moonset. Herbert Raab, chairman of the Astronomical of Society of Linz (LAG) made following pictures. Look at the picture at the left side. Here you can see the "Green Flash" - More detailed pictures see HERE.

During Europe was lightened by the sun I used some webcams and webcasts to observe the total eclipse.

Here you can see the wandering shadow and the motion of sun and moon caused by earth's rotation.

During totality I used the ALLSKY-CAM of GRAS in New Mexiko (USA)........

..... and I had a nice view to the stars during the moon was hidden by earth's shadow.

After the totality the sky became more cloudy and the stars faded.

At the same time, the surrounndings of the observatory and the scopes lightened in the moonlight.

Following are some pictures using different cameras .....
